LiveCode is Going OPEN SOURCE

LiveCode

January 28, 2013

Kevin Miller & the RunRev team have just announced LiveCode is going open source.
The project has teamed up with
KICKSTARTER to fund the campaign to make a full
version of LiveCode that is free and open for everybody to use.

LiveCode is programming software that allows people with very little programming
knowledge to create programs that can be deployed on many different platforms. It
is similar to HyperCard and you can even convert HyperCard stacks to LiveCode or
LiveCode stacks to HyperCard. LiveCode is not a new programming software and
is very advanced so not all of LiveCode's features can be converted to a HyperCard
stack.

Even though LiveCode allows people with little programming skills to create programs
easily it is very advanced and has power and features for skilled programmers too.

To help fund this project go to the
LiveCode KickStarter page where there is a lot more
information about LiveCode and KickStarter.

KickStarter helps fund many different kinds of projects including movies so for those
in the entertainment industry who have not heard of KickStarter and need to fund a
movie they might be able to help you too.

I have personally been programming with LiveCode for many years and can honestly
say this is powerful easy to use software that will become even more powerful with
the open source code.

You can help fund the
LiveCode Open Source Project for as little as $5.00.
